We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer with strong hands-on development skills and solid experience in UI/desktop test automation. The role involves building and improving automation solutions, working with TypeScript, Python, and Robot Framework, and taking ownership of the automation area.
Working schedule would be from 3 PM to 10 PM (Kyiv time)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated UI/desktop test coverage for Windows applications
- Develop new automation framework features, functions, and utilities
- Design and implement BDD-based automated tests
- Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain automated tests
- Analyze test failures and identify root causes
- Maintain and improve test stability and reliability
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Manage automated test execution and results through GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Contribute to automation strategy, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with QA and development teams
- Independently own the automation area and drive improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI/desktop QA automation
- Strong hands-on development skills with TypeScript
- Experience with Python for test tooling and utilities
- Experience with Robot Framework
- Experience with BDD and behavior-driven test development
- Experience with UI/desktop automation for Windows applications
- Experience with Git/GitHub
- Experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Strong programming and engineering mindset, beyond test-script development
- Ability to work independently with limited direction
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident
- Detail-oriented and patient when debugging complex issues
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
